Wednesday, January 15, 2014 - The day we became Homeowners!

Here's how the day started out:
We woke up this morning thinking that there was still a couple more things that needed to be done...maybe an inspection would be done today...there would be the possibility we could move in over the weekend...not much excitement.  Then Bowdrie got a phone call at noon from our Realtor, Charles Wixom.  Charles informs us that Andy, our site manager had quit that day and that "John" was filling in for him.  He also told us that John had scheduled a 1:00 pm city inspection.  The appraisal had already been done the day before, but they needed a picture of the completed brick.
We ended the call with the same uncertain, indifferent feeling we had been getting for the past week, thinking that this was just going to be another day, another delay.

We were wrong!

We got a call at about 3:00 from our loan officer stating that everything was done and that we could go to the title company in Spanish Fork at our earliest convenience to sign our loan docs.  We both zipped over there within about 10 minutes, spent about a half-hour signing documents, and then left as homeowners!

We are supposed to get a key and our earnest money back today and then we will be moving in to our new home tomorrow!
